New changes to Cisco Certification and Training Programs
Cisco offers new learning opportunities and credentials to help you improve your skills and knowledge this year. It is important to note that there have been adjustments to CCNA/CCNP and CCIE. There is also a Specialist level to the certification track. These certificates are between CCNA/CCNP. There are also new training courses coming soon. Professionals in the field will start to earn badges for completing the courses. This will be implemented after the new exams are launched on February 24, 2020.
As you work towards earning your Ciscocredential it is important to remember that the Cisco 100-105 ICND1 exam whichis intended to lead to the awarding of the CCENT and other certifications will expire in 2019. This well-known exam will expire on February 23, 2020. Students who plan to take the CCENT exam as a first step towards their CCNA Routing & Switching or CCNA Security, CCDA Collaboration, CCNA Routing & Switching and CCNA Wireless certifications will not be able to do so starting February 24th. If you still plan to take the certification test, you can do so before the final exam date.

Changes to CCNA
Cisco currently offers nine CCNA certification paths. All credentials will be consolidated under a single CCNA certificate starting in 2020. This certification is for professionals who are looking to take up positions in associate-level technology. There will be one exam that covers the various IT fundamentals, software development, networking technologies, and other job roles. All previous credentials will be withdrawn by February, as mentioned. All of these certificates will be replaced with a single CCNAcertification within the next day.
